1949 Chevrolet Fleetline Special Fast Back is finally back together..
I promised my Dad earlier this year that come hell or high water I would have the old ’49 back on the road even if it came to an LS and automatic landing in it. My Dad spent 15 years doing a frame-off-restoration and I rebuilt the drivetrain from my old high-school years. While sticking that much power in such an old body has presented some strong challenges mechanically, I now have most of the bugs worked out of it and it is most definitely drivable again.
New carpets also installed to match up with the nice seats Dad upholstered himself.
